The Baltimore Orioles won as underdogs last night at the Arizona Diamondbacks for only their 17th road win in 49 tries this season. Does Baltimore have another road victory in it this afternoon in the series finale?

Orioles roll to win

Baltimore claimed a 7-2 victory Tuesday nght at Arizona to improve to 32-68 overall and 17-32 on the road. Renato Nunez helped lead the Orioles offense as he finished 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Dwight Smith Jr. ended the contest 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Anthony Santander was 2-for-4 wiht a homer and two RBIs. Dylan Bundy picked up the win as he allowed two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts and three walks over six innings. John Means draws the start tonight as he enters with an 8-5 record, 2.95 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 74 strikeouts over 94 2/3 innings pitched.

D-Backs held in check

Arizona suffered a 7-2 home loss against Baltimore Tuesday night to drop to 51-51 overall and 22-26 at home. Merrill Kelly helped his own cause as he was 1-for-1 at the plate with two RBIs. Kelly was not as good on the mound as he suffered the loss, surrendering seven earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and no walks over 2 1/3 innings. Jake Lamb went 2-for-3 with a run scored in the losing effort. Jarrod Dyson finished 1-for-3 plus a walk. Eduardo Escobar had the only other Diamondbacks hit as he ended the game 1-for-4. Taylor Clarke gets the start today for Arizona as he comes in with a 2-3 record, 6.50 ERA and 1.64 WHIP with 32 strikeouts over 45 2/3 innings of work.

MLB Betting Trends

Baltimore

The Orioles are 2-6 in their last eight interleague road games. Baltimore is 1-5 in the last six Means road starts.

Arizona

The D-Backs are 7-1 in their last eight interleague games. Arizona is 9-4 in its last 13 Wednesday games.

Prediction:

It is remarkable that Means has managed to post an 8-5 record on such a pitiful team. With how nodescript the Diamondbacks looked Tuesday night, it's hard not to like the O's again today. Clarke has gotten beat up at the MLB level and while this isn't an imposing matchup, Baltimore manufactured seven runs and hit three homers yesterday so it's not like there are ghosts coming up to the dish. Means shouldn't require a lot of support and I like his chances to guide the Orioles to another win today as dogs.
