Royals fall in Cleveland

Kansas City has been playing pretty well as of late, winning seven of their last 10. However, the Royals lost two of three in Cleveland this past weekend. The Royals are 37-64 overall, 15-35 on the road and 50-45 with the over. KC has Danny Duffy getting the start tonight. He is 4-5 on the season with a 4.52 ERA.

The Royals rank near the bottom of the majors in hitting and pitching. On the mound, KC has a 5.00 team ERA with a 1.46 team WHIP. At the plate, Kansas City is averaging 4.37 runs per game while batting .250. Jorge Soler is leading the team with 20 doubles, 27 home runs and 70 RBI while Adalberto Mondesi is putting up 17 doubles, nine triples, 52 RBI and 31 stolen bases. Mondesi is out right now with a shoulder injury.

Braves trying to get back on track

Atlanta is coming off a four-game series split at home with the Washington Nationals, but the Braves are just 2-4 in their last six games. Atlanta is now 60-41 on the season, 30-21 at home and 50-46 with the over. The Braves have Dallas Keuchel getting the start tonight. He is 3-3 on the season with a 3.58 ERA.

The Braves have been one of the better hitting teams in the league this year, averaging 5.29 runs per game while hitting .262 as a squad. On the mound, the Braves have a 4.27 team ERA with a 1.38 team WHIP. Freddie Freeman is leading the team with 26 doubles, 25 home runs and 78 RBI while five other players have at least 51 RBI. The Braves also have three players with at least 23 home runs.

MLB Betting Trends

Kansas City

The Royals are just 2-5 in their last seven interleague games and 22-54 in their last 76 road games.

The Braves are 9-2 in their last 11 games against a left-handed starter and 4-1 in their last five interleague games.

Keuchel hasn’t been bad for Atlanta, but he hasn’t been stellar either. However, his two home starts have been very good, allowing four earned runs over 14.1 innings. Duffy hasn’t been too bad for KC, usually pitching competitively, but not getting much help with run support and his bullpen. Atlanta has too much hitting for him to be able to lock the Braves down tonight and the Royals are without their leader on the base paths, which really impacts their offense.

MLB Prediction: Atlanta Braves -220
