Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin

Charlie Blackmon went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and three runs scored in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Yankees. Blackmon had largely been struggling since the All-Star Game, but broke out in a huge way in Sunday's series finale against the Yankees. He opened the game in loud style, swatting a solo home run off James Paxton in the first inning, then went about giving his average a nice shot in the arm with three additional hits before the end of the contest. For the campaign, Blackmon is slashing .319/.365/.602 with 21 home runs and 60 RBI across 82 games played. The outfielder has hit at least 20 home runs in each of the last four seasons. He is trying for his second-ever 30 homer campaign.

Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin

Stephen Strasburg allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings and went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI to beat the Braves on Thursday. Since Shohei Ohtani isn't pitching this year Strasburg decided to take over as the best two-way player in the league. As a pitcher he struck out seven batters while walking two and surrendering eight base hits. As a batter he was the star of the game on a day when his team scored 13 runs. Strasburg led off the third inning with a single and came around to score on an Adam Eaton triple. Later in the same inning Strasburg crunched a three-run homer. He drove in two more runs with another knock in the fifth. He improved his record to 12-4 with a 3.52 ERA and 1.09 WHIP on the season. He has an excellent 154:32 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 127 2/3 innings.
