Marlins rally, falter in eighth

Miami scored a run in the seventh inning and five more in the eighth to pull even after trailing 6-0, but then proceeded to give up four runs in the bottom of the eighth in a 10-6 loss at Los Angeles. Starlin Castro helped lead the Marlins offense as he was 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Brian Anderson ended the game 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs. Garrett Cooper was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Elieser Hernandez suffered the loss in relief as he gave up four earned runs on four hits, with two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking two. Jordan Yamamoto draws the start today for Miami as he enters with a 4-0 record, 1.59 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with 34 strikeouts over 34 innings pitched.

Beaty breaks tie with homer

Matt Beaty hit a tie-breaking pinch-hit 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday night at home to help send Los Angeles to a 10-6 home win over Miami after the Dodgers had previously blown a six-run lead. Justin Turner finished 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks. Joc Pederson was also 1-for-3 with a solo homer. Pedro Baez picked up the win in relief as he retired both batters he faced. Walker Buehler gets the start today as he enters with an 8-1 record, 3.44 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 120 strikeouts over 110 innings pitched.

MLB Betting Trends

Miami

The Marlins are 23-54 in their last 77 road games. Miami is 1-5 in its last six Sunday games.

Los Angeles

The Dodgers are 39-12 in their last 51 home games. Los Angeles is 7-2 in the last nine Buehler starts.

Prediction:

Yamamoto has had a great start to his MLB career, but he isn't likely to get much run support today and he faces a dynamic offense. This game screams LA, although it will be interesting to see how Yamamoto performs in such a difficult setting.
