Donaldson put the Twins on the board with a sacrifice fly to the warning track in right-center field against righty Reynaldo López in the opening frame. He also drilled a 105.6 mph ground out in the third inning and walked in the sixth inning. The 35-year-old veteran third baseman is hitting .248/.353/.479 with 40 runs scored, 14 homers and 38 RBI across 292 plate appearances.

José Abreu blasted his 17th home run of the season on Monday night as the White Sox rallied to defeat the Twins in the second game of a doubleheader. Abreu walloped a gargantuan 413-foot solo shot to left-center field -- his 17th round-tripper of the season -- off righty José Berríos in the opening frame. It was his lone hit in three at-bats in the low-scoring affair. The 34-year-old veteran first baseman, who hit an RBI double earlier in the front-end of the twin-billing, has started to heat up at the dish, going deep twice in five games since the All-Star break.
