New York Mets DFS Notes
Michael Conforto blasted a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth inning on Sunday, helping the Mets stave off a potential three-game sweep against the Pirates with a 7-6 comeback victory in the series finale. Conforto delivered a much-needed clutch 418-foot two-run tater to center field off Pirates closer Richard Rodríguez in the top of the ninth inning. It was his lone hit of the contest, but it wound up being the difference for the Mets in this one. The 28-year-old slugger has shown some real signs of life at the plate over the last few weeks, going deep twice over his last four games, and appears poised for a strong second-half performance.
Cincinnati Reds DFS Notes
Jonathan India went 1-for-3 with a walk on Sunday in the Reds' lopsided defeat at the hands of the Brewers. The Reds were unable to manufacture anything versus Brewers ace Corbin Burnes, who worked into the ninth inning, allowing just four baserunners over the first eight frames in this one. India was the lone Reds' batter to reach base safely multiple times. The 24-year-old rookie infielder has been a reliable top-of-the-order table-setter, slashing .271/.395/.409 with 43 runs scored, seven homers, 36 RBI and seven steals across 330 plate appearances.
