Kevin Gausman will return to the Giants on Monday to start against the Dodgers. Gausman was away from the club for a few days to be with his wife who was dealing with a mild complication in her pregnancy. Fortunately, all appears to be well now. Gausman returns to a tough matchup against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. He posted a brilliant 1.73 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 133/30 K/BB ratio over 114 2/3 innings in 18 first half starts.

Justin Turner went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Rockies on Sunday. Turner got the Dodgers on the board in the third inning with a two-run opposite-field homer off of Jon Gray. He later added a double in the eighth and scored on a home run by Will Smith. The 36-year-old third baseman is having an excellent season as he's up to 16 homers and 54 RBI to go with a .304/.390/.505 triple-slash.
