Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Ryan Braun hit his 14th home run of the season in a win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday. Braun showed off some opposite-field power in the ninth inning, crushing a T.J. McFarland delivery over the high wall in right-center field for a solo dinger to extend the Brewers' lead. It was his only hit of the night, but the outfielder had plated a run with a sacrifice fly earlier in the game as well. With Thursday's game, he's now hit safely in five of his six games since the All-Star break. The 35-year-old is hitting .272/.322/.474 with 14 homers, 45 RBI, 41 runs scored and seven steals across 90 games overall.
Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin
Jake Lamb had an RBI single in Thursday's loss to the Brewers. Lamb lined a Zach Davies pitch back up the middle in the second inning, scoring Christian Walker from second base to tie the game at 1-1. The run batted in was the ninth of the year for Lamb, who has two homers and eight runs scored in his first 20 games of the year. He's got three doubles and three RBI in his last three games, bringing his line up to .237/.384/.424 in 59 at-bats.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are just 3-8 in their last 11 road games and 3-9 in their last 12 games against foes from the National League West.
Arizona
The Diamondbacks are just 2-5 in Taylor Clarke’s last seven starts following a team loss in their previous game.
Prediction:
The Diamondbacks are now 0-5 in their last five games against the Brewers but I like them tonight as an underdog at Chase Field, where they are 4-1 in their last five home games. The Brewers have also been awful when Jhoulys Chacin starts, going 1-8 in his last nine outings overall and winless at 0-8 in his last eight outings away from Miller Park. The Brewers are also 0-6 in Chacin’s last six starts when facing an opponent with a winning record.
The Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks +115
