Jake Odorizzi picked up the win as he allowed one earned run on three hits over 5 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking two. MLB Betting Trends
Minnesota
The Twins are 0-4 in their last four Sunday games. Minnesota is 1-4 in the last five Berrios starts.
Cleveland
The Indians are 4-0 in their last four Sunday games. Cleveland is 7-3 in the last 10 Bieber starts.
Prediction:
The trends show a wager on Cleveland might be the right play, but often it's smart to buck the trends as things tend to even out over time anyway. Berrios is certainly no pushover of a pitcher and the Twins are playing the better ball coming into the series finale. Getting a road sweep on the heels of the All-Star Break and going ahead in the division by 8.5 games would be huge. Bieber is really good, but Minnesota has seen him and he isn't perfect. Taking a shot on the Twins this afternoon.
