Phillies cling to win at O's

In a makeup game at Baltimore, Philadelphia compiled a 5-0 advantage in the sixth inning before eventually holding on for a 5-4 win. Jorge Alfaro was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs. Marlins win series versus Brewers

With a 5-4 win Wednesday night at home against Milwaukee, Miami won two out of three games in the series. Brian Anderson helped lead the way as he went 2-for-4 with a triple, two walks and a run. Starlin Castro had a single and two RBIs in five at-bats, while Justin Bour contributed a solo home run in four at-bats. Elieser Hernandez threw two scoreless innings of relief, giving up one hit with three strikeouts and one walk to earn the win.

Jake Arrieta (6-6, 3.47 ERA) will start today for Philadelphia, while Miami counters with Wei-Yin Chen (2-6, 6.14).

MLB Betting Trends

Philadelphia

The under is 13-3 in the last 16 games. The Phillies are 2-8 in their last 10 Friday games.

Miami

The Marlins are 3-7 in the last 10 meetings. Miami is 12-4 in Chen's last 16 home starts.

Prediction:

While the Marlins have found a way to win most of Chen's home starts, he still isn't a very good pitcher. Arrieta will benefit from a pitcher's park and the Phillies are playing good baseball as of late to move into first place in the NL East. Take the better team and starting pitcher tonight.
