Rockies' Senzatela pitches seven scoreless innings vs. Giants
Antonio Senzatela held the Giants to three hits over seven scoreless innings to win Tuesday. The Rockies could have and probably should have added Senzatela to their rotation without demoting Jon Gray. The start tonight was his first in the majors since last Aug. 28; he made nine relief appearances last September and 10 more after opening this year in the Rockies' pen. He was a perfectly decent starter for the Rockies last year, and while he lacks upside, he can be one again. He'll certainly keep his spot after this.
Mariners' LeBlanc picks up another victory in last start
Wade LeBlanc allowed just one earned run, three hits and a walk with four strikeouts over seven innings in a win against the Angels on Tuesday. LeBlanc ran his record to 4-0 while lowering his ERA to 3.19, throwing 60 of his 95 pitches for strikes. The Mariners are now an impressive 13-0 over LeBlanc's past 13 starts at Safeco Field, while posting a 14-3 record over his past 17 overall. The team is also 5-1 in his past six times against AL West clubs. He'll look for more success on Sunday in the interleague series finale against the Rockies at Safeco Field.
MLB Betting Trends
Colorado
The Rockies have won five of their last six road games.
Seattle
The Mariners are 9-3 in their last 12 games despite dropping two straight versus the Rockies.
Prediction:
The Mariners are 14-3 in LeBlanc's last 17 starts and are a perfect 13-0 in his last 13 home outings. They're also 7-0 in his last seven starts coming off four days of rest, are 4-0 in his last four games when he pitches the third game of a series, and are 7-0 in his last seven home starts when he faces a team with a winning record. On the other side, the Rockies are just 1-5 in Senzatela's last six road starts and 7-20 in their last 27 interleague games versus a left-handed starter.
The Pick: Seattle Mariners -145
