Brewers blow it in ninth, win in 10th
Milwaukee lost a 6-1 lead in the ninth inning Friday night at Pittsburgh, but a go-ahead RBI single by Lorenzo Cain in the 10th lifted it to a 7-6 victory. Manny Pina helped lead the Brewers offense as he went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs off the bench. Jesus Aguilar finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs. Orlando Arcia ended the game 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored. Cain went 3-for-6 with a double and the RBI. Junior Guerra picked up the win in relief as he gave up one earned run on three hits with one strikeout and no walks over 1 1/3 innings. Adrian Houser draws the start tonight for the Brewers as he comes in with a 2-2 record, 3.26 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with 42 strikeouts over 38 2/3 innings.
Pirates rally, lose heartbreaker
Pittsburgh fought all the way back from a five-run deficit at home Friday night before falling 7-6 to Milwaukee in 10 innings. Josh Bell helped lead the Pirates offense as he went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Adam Frazier helped 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI. Jung Ho Kang was 1-for-3 off the bench with a solo homer that tied the game in the ninth inning right after Bell hit his 3-run home run. Felipe Vazquez took the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on three hits with two strikeouts and no walks over one inning of work. Dario Agrazal will start today for Pittsburgh as he enters with a 1-0 record, 2.70 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with six strikeouts over 10 innings.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 2-6 in their last eight road games. Milwaukee is 4-1 in its last five Saturday games.
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are 7-2 in their last nine home games. Pittsburgh is 1-5 in its last six Saturday games.
Prediction:
Pittsburgh has to be feeling a bit down to rally all the way back only to still lose at home last night. While the Pirates are turning to a rookie today, Agrazal will have the advantage of unfamiliarity from opposing hitters. Houser allows baserunners as his WHIP shows and Pittsburgh had been playing very well at home prior to Friday night. I'm looking for the Pirates to bounce back in this spot.
