Boston Red Sox DFS Notes
Rafael Devers went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs scored as the Red Sox defeated the Royals on Thursday. The three-run blast was Devers' 20th home run of the season and traveled 426 feet with an exit velocity of 110.2 miles per hour off Royals reliever Josh Staumont. The star third baseman is having a fantastic first half, batting .288/.359/.582 with 69 RBI and 55 runs scored over 292 at-bats.
Oakland A’s DFS Notes
Frankie Montas yielded two runs on two hits over five innings while taking a no-decision in Saturday’s 10-inning loss to the Giants. Montas was a little spotty on the control front -- three walks -- but that just meant his stuff was moving, a lot. He fanned five over his five innings of work, with only Donovan Solano and LaMonte Wade collecting hits against him. Solano’s was a mere early single that led to no further trouble. Wade’s was considerably more impactful, as he rocked a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Through 16 starts covering 87 2/3 innings this season, Montas owns a 4.72 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 92/24 K/BB ratio. He will tango with the Red Sox on the home mound when he next takes to the rubber.
Red Sox vs. A’s MLB Betting Prediction
The Red Sox are just 17-39 in their last 56 meetings with the A’s in Oakland and have dropped six of their last eight games versus the American League West. The A’s, meanwhile, are 7-2 in their last nine home games, are 4-1 in their last five games coming off a loss and are 44-17 in their last 61 games when facing a left-handed starter.
