Oakland A’s Fantasy Spin
Matt Olson popped a solo home run on Tuesday in St. Louis in the Athletics' win. Olson's opposite-field blast off of Jack Flaherty in the top of the second inning got the scoring going. He also singled and scored in Oakland's decisive six-run fifth inning. The first baseman has gone deep six times so far in June to bring his season total to 13.
St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Matt Carpenter had a two-run RBI triple Tuesday in the Cardinals' loss to the Athletics. While it will officially go down as a triple, it probably should've been a three-base error on Ramon Laureano, as Laureano got turned around on Carpenter's drive in the second inning, fell down and the ball landed at his feet. It was Carpenter's only hit in five trips to the plate. He has just four hits in his last 29 at-bats.
MLB Betting Trends
Oakland
The A’s have won six of their last eight games overall.
St. Louis
The Cardinals are 44-13 in Adam Wainwright’s last 63 home starts.
Prediction:
The A’s are now 4-1 in their last five games against the Cardinals and have won four out of their last five games in St. Louis as well. Oakland has been profitable when Daniel Mengden takes the hill, too. The A’s are 5-1 in Mengden’s last six starts and have won five of his last six outings on the road. While the Cardinals have won plenty of games that Wainwright starts at home, they’re also just 2-6 in his last eight games overall. They’ve also lost four straight games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
Wednesday MLB Prediction: Oakland A’s +124
