After falling behind 10-5 in the fourth inning, Boston scored nine runs over the next three innings to top Seattle 14-10 at Fenway Park Friday night. J.D. Martinez led the charge as he went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three runs and five RBIs. Mookie Betts was 1-for-4 with two walks and two runs. Andrew Benintendi finished 2-for-4 with a walk, three runs and an RBI. Mitch Moreland finished 3-for-5 with a triple, three runs and an RBI. Brock Holt was 2-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI. Rafael Devers ended the night 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBIs. Christian Vazquez was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Matt Barnes picked up the win in relief as he struck out the side during his inning of work.

Cruz homers twice in loss

Nelson Cruz smashed two home runs in Friday's defeat for the Mariners as he went 4-for-5 with the pair of long balls and seven RBIs. Dee Gordon went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs. Mitch Haniger went 2-for-3 with two walks, a run and an RBI. Denard Span finished 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Andrew Romine was 3-for-4 with two runs. Juan Nicasio allowed five earned runs in one-third of an inning of relief to suffer the loss.

MLB Betting Trends

Seattle

The Mariners are 10-2 in their last 12 Saturday games. The over is 15-5-1 in the last 21 Seattle games on Saturday.

Boston

The Red Spx are 13-3 in their last 16 Saturday games. Boston is 11-4 in its last 15 home games.

Prediction:

These two teams brought the fireworks last night with the Red Sox getting the last laugh with a big finish. Rodriguez is the much better pitcher here and Seattle is struggling on this road trip, losing five in a row. Take Boston on the runline here as it has the firepower to win by multiple runs even with one less at-bat at home.
