Orioles on losing streak

Baltimore is riding an 8-game losing streak right now after dropping three straight at Oakland. The Orioles are 21-53 on the season, 12-25 on the road and 36-35 with the over. Baltimore has Dylan Bundy getting the start tonight. He is 3-8 on the season with a 4.44 ERA.

The Orioles rank last in the league in pitching, as they have a 5.72 team ERA with a 1.49 team WHIP. At the plate, Baltimore is averaging 3.93 runs per game while hitting. 236 as a squad. Trey Mancini is questionable to play today. He is dealing with an elbow injury. Mancini is leading the team with 18 doubles, 16 home runs and 35 RBI. Dwight Smith Jr. has 11 doubles, 11 home runs and 41 RBI. He has been dealing with a concussion, but is expected to play.

Mariners looking for win streak

Seattle is coming off a series loss at home to the Royals. They have not won back-to-back games in weeks. The Mariners are 32-46 on the season, 18-22 on the road and 52-23 with the over. Seattle has Wade LeBlanc getting the start tonight. He is 3-2 on the season with a 6.20 ERA.

The Mariners are also a mess on the mound, posting a 5.35 team ERA with a 1.46 team WHIP. At the plate, Seattle is averaging 5.17 runs per game while hitting .243 at the plate. Edwin Encarnacion had been leading the team with 21 home runs and 49 RBI, but Seattle traded him to New York. Domingo Santana is now the leader with 14 doubles, 15 home runs and 54 RBI.

MLB Betting Trends

Baltimore

The Orioles are 10-42 in their last 52 series openers and 7-22 in their last 29 Thursday games.

Seattle

The Mariners are 2-14 in their last 16 games following a win and 9-23 in their last 32 home games.

Prediction:

Both teams are a disaster right now. However, Seattle actually has some viable hitters while the Orioles are bad at the plate and on the mound. Granted, the Mariners sent their best hitter away, but they still have the better lineup than Baltimore. LeBlanc isn’t great on the mound, but he is at home against a Baltimore team that can’t get anything right. Bundy is pretty steady at giving up runs, allowing three in each of his last five starts.

MLB Prediction: Seattle Mariners -135
