Giancarlo Stanton walloped a three-run homer on Thursday in the Yankees' loss to the Twins. Stanton kicked off the scoring with a titanic 422-foot moonshot to center field -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- off lefty J.A. Happ in the opening frame. It was his lone hit of the contest as he struck out in three of his final four at-bats. The 31-year-old outfielder is hitting .265/.332/.518 with 19 runs scored, 12 homers and 32 RBI across 187 plate appearances.
Philadelphia Phillies DFS Spin
Jean Segura went 3-for-5 with three RBI and had the game-winning hit in the 10th as the Phillies topped the Braves 4-3 on Thursday. Segura doubled in the first run of the game in the bottom of the eighth. The Phillies didn't make that lead hold up, but Segura ended the game in the 10th with a two-run single. Segura is now batting a cool .323/.377/.455, which is pretty good for someone the Phillies couldn't give away over the winter.
