Alex Avila was 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Ildemaro Vargas finished 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBIs. Zack Godley picked up the win in relief as he gave up two hits with one strikeouts and two walks in 3 2/3 scoreless innings. Jon Duplantier will start tonight for Arizona as he comes in with a 1-0 record, 3.27 ERA and 1.14 ERA with 23 strikeouts over 22 innings.

Phillies hit five homers in defeat

Philadelphia fell by a count of 13-8 Tuesday night at home against Arizona to drop to 37-29 overall and 22-13 at home. These two teams have the power bats and I'd rather side with the over tonight until I see proof that things are cooling down.
