Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers, the Indians are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -110 to win. The White Sox are getting a money line of +100 to win, while the over/under total for the contest has been set at 10 runs. The public betting for the contest currently has 65 percent going on Cleveland on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Indians drop first two of series

Cleveland has lost the first two games in this series, losing by a combined score of 16-5. The Indians are 28-29 on the season, 13-15 on the road and 33-23 with the under. Jefry Rodriguez is the starting pitcher today. He is 1-5 on the season with a 4.99 ERA.

The Indians managed just one run on Friday despite racking up four hits. The problem in the game was four errors committed by the defense. Only two of the six runs Chicago scored were earn. Trevor Bauer took the loss, falling to 4-5 on the season. He gave up six runs over seven innings with eight strikeouts. Carlos Santana and Jake Bauers each had two hits to lead Cleveland at the plate.

Sox staying hot

Chicago is rolling right now, winning five straight following Friday’s 6-1 victory. The White Sox are 28-29 on the season, 16-13 at home and 29-27 with the under. Chicago has Ivan Nova on the mound today. He is 3-4 on the season with a 6.52 ERA.

The White Sox gave Dylan Covey his first win of the season on Friday. He pitched six innings and allowed just one run with five strikeouts. Charlie Tilson led Chicago at the plate with two hits and two RBI while Yoan Moncada, Yonder Alonso and Yolmer Sanchez each had two hits as well.

MLB Betting Trends

Cleveland

The Indians are 3-8 in their last 11 division games and 3-9 in their last 12 road games against a team with a losing record.

Chicago

The White Sox have won five straight division games and five of Nova’s last six starts.

Prediction:

Rodriguez has been struggling for the Indians as well, losing his last three outings while giving up at least four runs in each of the three starts. Nova has been pretty boom or bust this season. He has four starts where he has allowed just one run and five where he has given up five or more runs. One of his strong starts was at Cleveland, where he pitched seven strong innings. Chicago is hitting the ball well right now and that is something Cleveland hasn’t been able to do consistently all season. I am going to ride the hot Sox at home.

MLB Prediction: Chicago White Sox +100
