Mike Moustakas paced the Brewers offense as he finished 4-for-6 with two home runs and four RBIs. Yasmani Grandal ended the contest 4-for-6 with a solo home run and a double. Eric Thames was 1-for-4 with a solo home run plus a walk. Ben Gamel ended the contest 3-for-6 with two doubles and two runs scored. Lorenzo Cain went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a run and four RBIs. Chase Anderson picked up the win as he allowed two earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts and one walk over five innings. MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 3-7 in their last 10 games versus the NL Central. Milwaukee is 0-5 in the last five Chacin road starts.
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are 5-3 in their last eight games versus the NL Central. Pittsburgh is 0-6 in the last six Archer starts.
Prediction:
Chacin pitched with some extra luck last season and this season it is going the opposite way for him, but I do trust him to have things turn in a positive direction as the season progresses. I don't know if I can say the same for Archer, who still strikes out a batter per inning but hasn't really figured much out with his struggles the last couple seasons. He was great his first couple starts this year, but now it's been a downward trend the last month-and-a-half. The Brewers' lineup is full of power and I don't think Archer escapes without another poor start.
