Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Mike Trout went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and three RBI to help the Angels down the Mariners 9-3 on Thursday. Returning to the lineup after missing Wednesday's game due to foot soreness, Trout showed no ill effects, knocking an RBI single in the second inning before swatting a two-run double in the fourth. The all-everything 27-year-old is batting .283/.457/.572 with 12 homers, 33 RBI and 38 runs scored in 52 games this year, ranking among the league leaders in a number of offensive categories. He's good.
Seattle Mariners Fantasy Spin
Tim Beckham homered and had three RBI Thursday in a loss to the Angels. Beckham hit a two-run bomb in the fifth inning and scored a run with a groundout in the seventh, single-handedly driving in all three of the Mariners' runs on the night. The home run was the 11th of the year for Beckham, and he's now got 32 RBI and 24 runs scored in 49 games. The 29-year-old started hot out of the gate but has cooled of late, batting .259/.310/.523 overall.
