Matt Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a walk and his first home run of the season in Friday's win over the Rays. Gleyber Torres crushed a solo home run to leadoff the top of the fourth and two batters later, Carpenter pulled a 384-foot solo home run over the right-field wall -- his first home run since April 30th, 2021. Signed by the Yankees on May 26th, Carpenter should continue to see time at designated hitter with Josh Donaldson and Giancarlo Stanton on the injured list.
