Seattle attempted a late rally on Saturday, scoring two runs in the ninth, but couldn’t complete the comeback. They got off to a slow start when Yusei Kikuchi gave up five runs over 3.1 innings to fall to 3-2 on the season. The Mariners still managed three home runs despite only scoring five runs. Mitch Haniger had his 13th long ball of the season as he and Domingo Santana both had two hits with a home run and two RBI.
Athletics on fire

MLB Betting Trends
Seattle
The Mariners are 6-22 in their last 28 games following a loss and 5-16 in their last 21 road games.
Oakland
The Athletics have won six of their last eight division games and five of Anderson’s last six home starts.
Prediction:
Seattle just can’t get itself on track and Leake is coming off his worst start of the year at Texas. Anderson hasn’t been great for Oakland, but he is capable of quality starts. Given the Athletics are hitting the ball well and their bullpen is getting timely outs, it’s hard to go against them right now. These teams are going in very different directions right now.
MLB Prediction: Oakland Athletics -145
