The doubleheader on Saturday started well, as the Yankees scored two runs in the first and never trailed in the opener. J.A. Happ struck out 10 over six innings to earn his fourth win of the year while Luke Voit connected on his 13^th home run of the season. In game two, New York’s pen locked things down late, not allowing an earned run over the last four innings. Aroldis Chapman got his 14^th save while Cameron Maybin drove in three runs on two hits.
