Dodgers continue winning ways

Los Angeles earned a 7-3 win at Tampa on Tuesday for its sixth win in seven games. Los Angeles is 32-17 on the season, 13-11 on the road and 24-23 with the over. Rich Hill is getting the start for the Dodgers tonight. He is 1-1 on the season with a 3.00 ERA.

The Dodgers got off to a quick lead with a run in the first inning and they never trailed. Joc Pederson had two hits and drove in two runs on Tuesday while Justin Turner and Corey Seager each had two hits and a RBI. Clayton Kershaw improved to 4-0 on the season by pitching 6.1 innings and allowing just two runs with eight strikeouts.

Rays fall again

Tampa suffered the 7-3 loss on Tuesday for its third loss in four games. The Rays are 27-18 on the season, 12-11 at home and 24-19 with the under. Ryne Stanek gets the start for the Rays this evening. He is 0-1 on the season with a 3.70 ERA.

The Rays started Hunter Wood on Tuesday. He gave up one run over two innings and took his first loss of the season. Jalen Beeks then came in and gave up five earned runs over 4.2 innings. Austin Meadows, Avisail Garcia and Guillermo Heredia each had two hits to lead the Rays at the plate.

They had to use a fair number of arms on Tuesday and I think that will lead to some struggles on the mound today. Los Angeles is a very dangerous lineup. Rich Hill also is coming off a strong outing, striking out 10 in Cincinnati in six innings. I think Hill will do well against Tampa and the Dodgers will continue to hit the ball against the Tampa pitchers.
