Brewers edged in 10 innings
Milwaukee lost 4-3 in 10 innings Saturday at Atlanta to fall to 27-21 overall and 11-13 on the road. The Brewers tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the ninth inning before losing in the 10th. Lorenzo Cain ended the contest 3-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI. Jesus Aguilar finished 1-for-5 with two RBIs. Ryan Braun went 1-for-4 plus a walk. Josh Hader suffered the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on one hit with two strikeouts and no walks over one inning. Brandon Woodruff will start today for Milwaukee as he comes in with a 6-1 record, 3.72 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with 59 strikeouts over 48 1/3 innings.
Feeman walks it off
Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday to lift Atlanta to a 4-3 home win over Milwaukee. He ended the contest 2-for-5 with a double plus the solo homer. Austin Riley was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Nick Markakis was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Jacob Webb picked up the win in relief as he struck out one in one perfect inning of relief. Mike Foltynewicz will start today for the Braves as he enters with an 0-3 record, 8.02 ERA and 1.59 WHIP.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 1-4 in their last five Sunday games. Milwaukee is 7-2 in the last nine Woodruff starts on the road.
Atlanta
The Braves are 4-0 in their last four home games. Atlanta is 0-6 in the last six Foltynewicz starts.
Prediction:
Milwaukee used its best bullpen arms yesterday and still couldn't manufacture the win. Woodruff isn't going to be perfect against this Atlanta offense on the road, while Foltynewicz is much better than his 2019 numbers suggest. I think Foltynewicz gets closer to his 2018 form today and helps Atlanta win its fifth game in a row.
