Jakob Junis yielded two runs over five innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Cardinals. He also allowed three hits, issued two walks, and struck out five. After retiring the side in order in the top of the first, Junis hit Albert Pujols to begin the top of the second. And on the first pitch of the very next at-bat, Juan Yepez took him deep for a two-run home run. If he remains in the rotation, he'll take the mound again sometime next week.

Three batters into his start, Hudson had already issued two walks while also throwing a wild pitch. He managed to hold the Giants scoreless in the bottom of the first, but in the bottom of the second, he gave up a two-run home run to LaMonte Wade Jr. This was the first time he's ever failed to strike out a batter while completing more than four innings (47 career starts). A Saturday afternoon rematch against the Giants is next up.
