The Indians scattered 10 hits in Friday’s loss. Everyone in the starting lineup had a hit while Tyler Naquin was the lone Cleveland batter with multiple hits. On the mound, Cody Anderson got the start, but he lasted only three innings and gave up two runs on three walks and three hits. The Indians had to use eight pitchers in the loss. Brad Hand gave up the home run in the 12^th to take a loss.

Athletics win again

The Athletics were able to put an end to the game on Friday thanks to a solo home run from Matt Chapman in the 12^th inning. He now has 10 home runs on the season. Chapman was one of two Athletics with multiple hits on Friday. Josh Phegley added three hits. Frankie Montas got the start and went six innings, allowing two runs with seven strikeouts. The bullpen gave up one run over six innings. Joakim Soria got the win with two perfect innings on the mound.

Brooks has been shaky as of late, giving up at least three runs in his last five starts. Bauer has struggled in his last two starts, giving up 12 runs in 12 innings. He has been a little all-or-nothing this season, having gems or getting blown up. He has struggled with walks at times as well. Given Cleveland had to use eight arms last night, the Indians are going to have to really ride Bauer today, good or bad. Brooks may give up a few runs, but I don’t think he will get blown up by the Cleveland hitters.
