New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Gio Urshela ripped a two-run single in the eighth inning for the key blow in a win over the Mariners on Thursday. He didn't draw the start but replaced Miguel Andujar at third base in the seventh inning. He came up with men on first and third in the eighth frame and promptly ripped a single to right that plated both runners. Urshela is swinging a surprisingly hot bat in part-time duty in the injury-ravaged Yankee lineup. He is slashing .354/.416/.532 with two homers and 11 RBI in 89 plate appearances. The hot streak seems likely to end sooner rather than later considering he has always been a well-below average hitter in his prior major league stints.
Tampa Bay Rays Fantasy Spin
Austin Meadows is expected to be activated off the injured list on Friday. The Rays optioned Nate Lowe to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday after their contest with the Diamondbacks, so this opens up a spot for the 24-year-old. He's been on the injured list with his thumb injury since April 21 with the thumb injury, and he was hitting an impressive .351/.422/.676 before it. If someone dropped him in haste, remedy that.
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are 6-1 in German’s last seven starts and are 4-0 in his last four outings on the road.
Tampa Bay
The Rays are 6-1 in Glasnow’s last seven starts.
Prediction:
The under is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings between these two teams and with who is on the mound for their respective teams tonight, I like the under to cash yet again. The under is 12-3-2 in Glasnow’s last 17 starts overall and is 5-1-1 in his last seven home outings. On the other side, the under is 5-1 in German’s last six starts during Game 1 of the series.
The Pick: Yankees/Rays UNDER 7
