Washington Nationals Fantasy Spin
Brian Dozier notched three hits Wednesday in a loss to the Brewers. While the rest of his team took a collective nap (combined 5-for-30), Dozier was locked in against the Brew Crew, supplying two singles and a double in the losing effort. He scored his only run on a seventh-inning base hit by Wilmer Difo. Dozier’s debut season in D.C. hasn’t gone according to plan (.196 AVG with 36 strikeouts in 112 at-bats), but Wednesday’s breakout could be a sign that better days are ahead.
Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin
Max Muncy went 3-for-5 and hit his eighth homer Wednesday as the Dodgers topped the Braves 9-4. Muncy did a fair amount of sitting at the beginning of the season, but he's been performing well and getting more playing time against lefties recently. He's collected three homers and 10 RBI in his last five games.
MLB Betting Trends
Washington
The Nationals are 17-35 in their last 52 games against the Dodgers.
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 36-16 in their last 52 home games versus the Nationals.
Prediction:
At some point, this Nationals team will get healthy and start providing the offense that they’re capable of producing. But that time doesn’t look like it’s now. After struggling all series in Milwaukee, the Nats will see a ballpark downgrade shifting to L.A. and they draw a tough matchup against Hill. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams at Dodger Stadium and even with the total sitting at 7 and offering us little margin for error, I still like tonight’s game to turn into a pitcher’s duel between Hill and Corbin.
The Pick: Nationals/Dodgers under 7
