San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin
Mac Williamson went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI in his 2019 debut as the Giants beat the Rockies 14-4 in Coors Field on Tuesday. The line-drive homer probably would have been a double or maybe an out in most parks, but it carried just into the stands in left in Coors. Williamson figures to be the Giants' everyday left fielder for now, and he will definitely hit some homers. He probably won't do enough else to be a particularly useful player, but time will tell.
Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Chris Iannetta homered, doubled and walked against the Giants on Tuesday. Iannetta was making his second start in four games since being activated from the DL on May 3. The Rockies really need the offense, so there's a good argument for using him over Tony Wolters most of the time.
MLB Betting Trends
San Francisco
The Giants are 1-4 in Derek Holland’s last five road starts and are 1-6 in his last seven outings overall.
Colorado
The Rockies are 8-3 in Jon Gray’s last 11 home starts and are 4-0 in his last four starts overall.
Prediction:
The Giants are now 6-2 in their last eight games against the Rockies and even though they have one of the worst offenses in baseball, they continue to swing hot bats over the past week. Gray is just as exploitable as Antonio Senzatela, who allowed five runs in one inning on Tuesday night. Given how the pitching matchup is fairly even, give me the Giants with plus odds.
The Pick: San Francisco Giants +137
