Baltimore has had the league’s worst pitching staff this season, as the team ERA is 6.05 while the team WHIP is 1.53. Offensively, the Orioles are putting up 4.17 runs per game while hitting .241 as a squad. Trey Mancini is leading the team with a .355 batting average, six home runs and 14 RBI. Dwight Smith Jr. is adding five home runs and 19 RBI. Mancini is dealing with a finger injury, but he is expected to play today.

Cashner pitched very well in that same game, allowing just one run over seven innings. I think the Orioles can get to Nova again while Cashner should be able to get Baltimore in the mix as long as he avoids the big bats. I just can’t trust Nova on the mound to place a wager on the Sox.
