Toronto is hitting the road for a West Coast road trip. The Jays are coming off a weekend sweep at home of the Oakland Athletics. The Blue Jays are pitching very well this season. They rank second in the league in terms of team ERA (3.33) and seventh team WHIP (1.20). Offensively, Toronto is averaging 4.18 runs per game while hitting .233 as a team. Justin Smoak has been leading the team with a .273 average, five home runs and 18 RBI. Freddy Galvis is hitting .315 with five home runs and 12 RBI.

MLB Betting Trends
Toronto
The Blue Jays have won four straight road games and five of their last six following a win.
Los Angeles
The Angels are just 2-6 in their last eight at home and 1-7 in their last eight against AL East opponents.
Prediction:
Buchholz hasn’t been great, but he hasn’t been terrible. He has enough ability to keep the Blue Jays in the game. Toronto has a good bullpen behind him and I think the Jays can find a way to put some runs up against this first-time pitcher. Los Angeles has been struggling most of the year and I don’t put a lot of faith in them to figure it out with a rookie on the mound.
MLB Prediction: Toronto Blue Jays +135
