Marlins vs. Phillies Sunday Prediction
The Marlins employ one of the worst offenses in baseball but as they proved yesterday, any team in the majors can turn it on in the right situation. After the two teams combined to score 21 runs yesterday, will the Marlins and Phillies cash another over on Sunday?

Miami Marlins Fantasy Spin
Jorge Alfaro continued his hot-hitting against his former club on Saturday, going 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in a loss to the Phillies. Alfaro blasted his two-run shot off of Enyel De Los Santos in the seventh inning, cutting the Marlins' deficit to three at 10-7. He has been one of the top offensive performers in all of baseball from the catcher position this season, slashing a robust .297/.342/.500 with five homers and nine RBI.
Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin
Rhys Hoskins clubbed his eighth home run of the season on Saturday, helping to lead the Phillies to a wild 12-9 victory over the Marlins. The Phillies raced out to a 10-1 lead in this one, but the Marlins battled all the way back to make it a 10-9 ballgame in the eighth inning. That's where Hoskins smashed his two-run homer off of Drew Steckenrider to give the Philies some breathing room and effectively put the game away. Hoskins also singled in the game, finishing the night 2-for-4. He's off to a terrific start to the 2019 season, slashing .276/.408/.592 with eight long balls and 22 RBI.
MLB Betting Trends
Miami
The Marlins are 2-9 in Jorge Lopez’s last 11 starts.
Philadelphia
The Phillies have won four of their last five home games.
Prediction:
The Marlins have a terrible offense, but Phillies starter Zach Eflin has been a mixed bag this season. He has a middling 20.5% strikeout rate and a low 4.5% walk rate. Home runs have also been an issue for him, as his HR/9 ratio is at 2.08. Citizens Bank Park isn’t forgiving to pitchers with a home run problem. While it’s dangerous to ask this Marlins team to produce offensively two days in a row, I do like the over today.
