Chicago Cubs Fantasy Spin

Anthony Rizzo went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, two RBI and three runs scored in the Cubs rout of the Diamondbacks on Saturday. Rizzo plated a run with a two-out, RBI double off Diamondbacks starter Zack Godley to put the Cubs ahead 2-0 in the third inning before he launched a tape-measure solo homer -- his fifth long ball of the season -- off reliever Matt Koch in the seventh. The 29-year-old first baseman is hitting .220/.360/.462 with 19 runs scored and 16 RBI across 111 plate appearances. He isn’t running like he used to anymore, but Rizzo remains one of the safest four-category fantasy studs in the game.

Arizona Diamondbacks Fantasy Spin

David Peralta went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Cubs on Saturday. Peralta took Cubs starter Yu Darvish deep with a leadoff homer in the sixth inning. He was the lone bright spot for the Diamondbacks’ offense, which mustered only two hits in a miserable performance. The 31-year-old outfielder owns a rock-solid .333/.372/.570 triple-slash line with 18 runs scored, four homers and 19 RBI across 121 plate appearances this season. He's proving that last year's late-career breakout wasn't a mirage. Even if the rest of the Arizona lineup is a bit underwhelming, he remains an upper-echelon, four-category impact fantasy outfielder.

MLB Betting Trends

Chicago

The Cubs are 8-3 in their last 11 games.

Arizona

The Diamondbacks are 5-1 in their last seven games overall but are 2-5 in their last seven home games.

Prediction:

Arizona starter Luke Weaver is coming off back-to-back solid starts against the Braves and Pirates on the road. He allowed just one run on six hits in Pittsburgh and held the Braves scoreless through five innings in Atlanta. Quintana, meanwhile, has a 3.21 ERA over 28 innings of work and has been outstanding in three straight outings since he was destroyed by Milwaukee at the start of the month. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams.

The Pick: Cubs/Diamondbacks UNDER 8.5
