San Diego Padres DFS Spin

Padres manager Jayce Tingler said Saturday that "it's realistic" Austin Nola (finger) will be able to come off the injured list for the team's series against the Diamondbacks next week. The Padres will begin that two-game series on Tuesday in Arizona. Nola was forced to begin the season on the injured list due to a fractured left middle finger and dealt with some swelling when initially ramping things up, but he's doing better now. Victor Caratini and Luis Campusano have been handling catcher duties during his absence.

Los Angeles Dodgers DFS Spin

Dustin May allowed four runs -- three earned -- on Monday over five innings in a loss to the Mariners. May was mostly solid on Monday, but the long-ball was a problem for the gangly right-hander in the loss. He gave up a two-run shot to Jose Marmolejos in the first, and Taylor Trammell got him for a solo shot. Trammell also doubled in a run. The command wasn't great, but May still showed off his impressive arsenal even in a mediocre (at best) outing. He's struck out 22 hitters in his 15 1/3 innings, and the concerns about the 23-year-old's ability to miss bats are quickly evaporating. May will be back on the bump against the Padres over the weekend.
