The Brewers will look to salvage a series split with the Dodgers on Sunday when the clubs wrap up their series at 2:10 p.m. ET. With Clayton Kershaw set to face Brandon Woodruff in the pitching matchup, is the total set too high?

Los Angeles Dodgers Fantasy Spin

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed only two solo homers over 5 2/3 innings on Saturday and struck out nine, but took a loss against the Brewers. Ryu gave up both of his solo shots to Christian Yelich. Outside of those offerings, the southpaw was excellent, scattering six hits allowed with a walk. Unfortunately, Ryu didn’t get any run support -- literally zero -- so he takes a hard-luck loss. The 32-year-old now owns a 3.10 ERA and outstanding 23/2 K/BB ratio. We’ll see him try and keep this up -- and try to get a win this time -- when he faces the Pirates on Friday.

Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin

Mike Moustakas is dealing with a swollen and bruised right ring finger, but fortunately his X-rays came back negative. The hard-hitting infielder is considered day-to-day. He may get a day off on Sunday as a precautionary measure, but he should be good to go for the coming week. With his 1-for-3 day on Sunday, Moustakas is hitting .239/.349/.549 with six homers and 10 RBI in 21 games on the season.

MLB Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Dodgers have won 74 of Clayton Kershaw’s last 99 starts overall.

Milwaukee

The Brewers are a perfect 5-0 in Brandon Woodruff’s last five home starts.

Prediction:

Kershaw was excellent in his season debut, striking out six Reds over seven innings. He threw 84 pitches so he should be fine in terms of his pitch count today. He faces a dangerous Milwaukee offense in a hitter’s park but the Brewers only scored 1, 3 and 5 runs thus far in this series so they’re not exactly ripping the cover off the ball. In fact, the under is a perfect 3-0 in this series and if Woodruff can keep the Dodgers’ lefties in check, I see the under being perfect in Milwaukee all weekend.

The Pick: Dodgers/Brewers UNDER 8.5
