Blue Jays at A's Saturday Prediction
The Blue Jays picked up a win in Oakland last night thanks to a dominant effort by Marcus Stroman. Can bettors count on Matt Shoemaker to put forth a similar effort when the Jays take on the A’s again at 4:07 p.m. ET on Saturday?

Toronto Blue Jays Fantasy Spin
Brandon Drury hit his first homer of the year Friday against the A's. It also gave him his first RBI in 68 at-bats this season. Drury has just 10 hits, and he's struck out 28 times. One imagines Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would be an upgrade.
Oakland A’s Fantasy Spin
Aaron Brooks surrendered five runs in five innings Friday in a loss to the Blue Jays. Since shutting out Boston for six innings in his season debut, Brooks has given up 13 runs and four homers in 16 innings over his last three starts. The A's should start weighing alternatives soon. Edwin Jackson could be a possibility in a few weeks.
MLB Betting Trends
Toronto
Despite their win last night, the Blue Jays are still just 2-5 in their last seven games in Oakland.
Oakland
The A’s are 7-1 in their last eight games versus the Blue Jays overall.
Prediction:
Shoemaker has been flat out dominant in his first four starts for the Blue Jays, posting a 3-0 record with a 1.75 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP. He’s also managed to compile 23 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings of work. Mike Fiers, meanwhile, has struggled. He owns a 7.06 ERA and despite having previous success against the Blue Jays (who are hitting just .217 in 23 at bats against Fiers), I love the value with Toronto today.
The Pick: Toronto Blue Jays +130
