Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin
Phillies placed OF Odubel Herrera on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain. Herrera suffered the injury Wednesday while running down an Amed Rosario line drive in the top of the fifth inning. Roman Quinn has been activated in a corresponding 25-man roster move and could see regular starts in center field for the Phillies. Aaron Altherr is also in the mix, and hot-hitting super-utilityman Scott Kingery might be too
Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Rockies activated OF David Dahl from the 10-day injured list. The Rockies are also getting back 1B Ryan McMahon, who was out with a sprained left elbow. Dahl landed on the IL with a left side/core injury earlier this month but only required a 10-day absence. OF Yonathan Daza and 1B Josh Fuentes were both sent down to make room for Dahl and McMahon, who will be available for Thursday's series opener against the Phillies.
MLB Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The Phillies are 0-4 in their last four games versus the Rockies.
Colorado
The Rockies are a perfect 4-0 against the Phillies at Coors Field.
Prediction:
Kyle Freeland does a nice job of generating groundballs but the ball could fly tonight as he faces a Philadelphia lineup that possess Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen, Rhys Hoskins and J.T. Realmuto. Meanwhile, Zach Eflin generates a lot of strikeouts and doesn’t walk many batters but he’s allowing too much hard contact and not generating many groundballs either. Thus, when Colorado hitters do connect tonight, expect the ball to travel in the thin mountain air. The over is 5-2 in Eflin’s last seven starts and is 4-1 in the Rockies’ last five home games versus a right-handed starter.
The Pick: Phillies/Rockies OVER 11
