He has picked up right where he left off in 2021, boasting a .985 OPS through his first 31 plate appearances to open the 2022 season.
Chicago White Sox DFS Spin
Dylan Cease recorded eight strikeouts over five innings Saturday to collect a win in his season debut against the Tigers. Cease generated a whopping 13 swinging strikes, including nine on his slider alone, and finished with a robust 33 percent CSW (called strikes plus whiffs). He gave up only two hits and issued three walks in a dominant effort. The lone tally against him came after Reynaldo López allowed an inherited runner to cross the plate following his departure in the sixth inning. The 26-year-old righty will face off against the Rays on Friday in a pretty favorable home matchup.
