Less good was that he sac bunted with two on and none out in the third, and the Cardinals failed to get any runs out of it. With a .471 OBP and two homers already, Edman is currently running circles around the guy who replaced him in the leadoff spot this spring, Dylan Carlson. He deserves another chance at the top of the lineup.

Omar Narvaez went 2-for-4 and hit his first homer Thursday versus the Cardinals. Narvaez delivered a solo shot off Adam Wainwright in the second inning and drove in another run with a double an inning later. Those were his first two extra-base hits of the season.
