Angels vs. Rangers Monday Prediction
The Angels hope to have Mike Trout (groin) back in their lineup on Monday when they open a new series with division rival the Rangers. Will it be enough for an inconsistent L.A. offense to produce a win for bettors looking into their team total?

Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Mike Trout will rejoin the Angels in Texas on Monday after ultrasound images showed continued improvement with his right groin. It doesn't necessarily mean he will return to the lineup Monday, as he will continue to be evaluated to determine when he's ready to play. However, Trout being back in action does appear imminent. He hasn't played since Tuesday
Texas Rangers Fantasy Spin
Delino DeShields went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, a pair of runs scored and one RBI in the Rangers’ comeback win over the Athletics on Sunday. DeShields got the Rangers on the board early, reaching on a throwing error, swiping second base and coming around to score on a triple by Elvis Andrus in the first inning. He also led off the fifth with a line-drive double to center field and promptly stole third, his fifth stolen base of the season, before scoring on a Hunter Pence groundout. The 26-year-old speedster came up with the biggest hit of the contest for the Rangers, plating the eventual winning run with a two-out, bunt single in the eighth inning. He’s been a popular breakout candidate for several years, but has consistently failed to put it together at the big-league level. He’s shown excellent plate skills so far, drawing eight walks, while only striking out nine times in 14 games. Yet, he’s hitting just .200/.347/.300 across 49 plate appearances.

Prediction:
There was some confusion regarding which pitcher Texas would start on Sunday. The Rangers went with Adrian Sampson, while Shelby Miller was held off until tonight. Fortunately for those that took my advice on the over, it didn’t matter, as Sampson was rocked just as I believed Miller would have been facing Oakland’s red-hot offense. The Angels aren’t swinging the sticks as well as the A’s, but they should jump Miller tonight. He has really struggled with left-handed hitters, so even though Justin Bour is hitting just .186, this is a good matchup for the first baseman. If the Angels only scratch across a run or two against Miller, don’t stress: Texas’ bullpen owns a 6.88 ERA, a .284 batting average against, a 5.43 xFIP and a .378 wOBA allowed this season. Opponents are crushing this Rangers’ pen.
The Pick: Los Angeles Angels Team Total OVER 5.5 (+100)
