Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin
Christian Yelich went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday’s 4-2 win over the Cubs. Yelich crushed a center-cut, 87-mph offering from Kyle Hendricks for his 100th career dinger in the first inning. He tacked on a sacrifice fly later in the contest. He’s now got five homers, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored to go with a .361/.489/.889 line through 10 games. That’ll do.
Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Mike Trout homered for the fourth consecutive game on Sunday, helping to power the Angels to a 7-2 victory over the visiting Rangers. After not hitting any home runs through his first six games of the season, Trout has now clobbered five long balls in his last four contests. This one was a two-run blast off of Rangers' left-hander Kyle Bird in the sixth inning that extended the Angels' lead to 6-2. Trout also drew three walks in the ballgame, the first of which was intentional to load the bases in the second inning. He's off to perhaps the best start of his career, slashing .393/.581/1.000 with five homers, 12 RBI and one stolen base through 10 games. The sky remains the limit for the best player in baseball.
MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers have lost five of their last seven meetings with the Angels.
Los Angeles
The Angels have won 17 of their last 25 interleague home games.
Prediction:
The Brewers already have one of the best offenses in baseball and will benefit from being able to use Eric Thames as tehri designated hitter on Monday night. Angels’ starter Trevor Cahill is an extreme ground-ball pitcher and Anaheim’s stadium will suppress power. Still, the Brewers are hot and relatively inexpensive on the moneyline at -116. Even if their offense doesn’t go off like it often does at home, the Brewers’ pitching is good enough to give us a chance to cash this ticket.
The Pick: Milwaukee Brewers -116
