Los Angeles Angels Fantasy Spin
Mike Trout went 1-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly in the Angels' loss to the Athletics on Saturday. Trout got the Angels on the board with an RBI sacrifice fly to right field off Athletics reliever J.B. Wendelken in the eighth inning. He also doubled off starter Brett Anderson in the third. The 27-year-old superstar center fielder is hitting .400 (4-for-10) with two extra-base hits through three games.
Oakland A’s Fantasy Spin
Stephen Piscotty went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI in the Athletics' win over the Angels on Saturday. Piscotty snapped a scoreless tie with a two-out, two-run single off Angels’ starter Felix Pena in the third inning. He also singled off reliever Justin Anderson in the seventh. The 28-year-old outfielder was one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the final four months of last season and is now firmly entrenched in the heart of a loaded Athletics’ lineup. He’s poised for a monster full-season breakout campaign.
MLB Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Angels are 1-4 in their last five games played in Oakland.
Oakland
The A’s are just 2-5 in their last seven games overall.
Prediction:
Skaggs battled forearm fatigue during spring training and wound up surrendering nine runs (eight earned) and 11 hits over 9 2/3 innings (three starts). Even though he pitched well last season, he struggled versus Oakland. In 10 career starts versus the A’s, Skaggs is 2-6 with a 5.19 ERA. I’ll back the A’s after Montas had a solid spring.
The Pick: Oakland A’s -115
