According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Trout is a 1/1 favorite to win the AL MVP award this year after claiming the award last year. The Angels' young star belted 36 home runs while driving in 111 runs and batting .287 over 157 games in 2014 and is more than capable of pulling off a similar feat this year.

Jose Abrea, meanwhile, has the next best odds to win the AL MVP this season at 4/1. Miguel Cabrera and Robinson Cano are both 7/1, respectively, while Josh Donaldson and Michael Brantley are 16/1, respectively. Adam Jones, Adrian Beltre, Hanley Ramirez, Jose Bautista and Victor Martinez are all 25/1, respectively.

The current long shots to take home the American League MVP award this season are Jacoby Ellsbury at 33/1, David Ortiz at 50/1 and Alex Rodriguez, who is 100/1 to win after being suspended all of 2014 for PED use.
