MELBOURNE, Australia (TheSpread) – The 2011 Presidents Cup tees off on Wednesday night and here is a look at some of the prop odds you can wager on for the event.

Oddsmakers have made the International Team, which is captained by Greg Norman, the favorite in this event, giving them odds of -120 to win while the U.S. Team, captained by Fred Couples, has been given a money line of +100.

In regards to prop odds, it is Tiger Woods that has been listed as the favorite to score the most points. Woods has 8/1 odds to score the most while Phil Mickelson has 10/1 odds, as does International Team member, Charl Schwartzel.

Woods is one of three golfers to ever go 5-0-0 in Presidents Cup matches in a single event, which was the 2009 event. That was also the same year that Woods last won a golf tournament. He went 3-2-0 in the 2007 Presidents Cup and 2-1-2 in the 2005 Cup. He also went 3-2-0 in 2003. Woods is playing in his seventh Presidents Cup appearance, but he is a captain’s pick this time, not a qualified selection.

Mickelson was strong in the last Presidents Cup, as he went 4-0-1. Mickelson was also 2-1-2 in the 2007 Cup, 3-0-2 in 2005, and 0-5-0 in 2003. He has played in eight previous Presidents Cup and also is a Ryder Cup veteran.

Schwartzel is playing in his first Presidents Cup. With this being his first experience in a big team event, it could harm his ability to win matches if he doesn’t gel well with his teammates.

The 2011 Presidents Cup is played at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Australia and will start on Thursday, Nov. 17 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 20. With the event taking place in Australia, most of the event will take place late at night in the U.S.
