He has played in this event five times and finished in the top 10 four times. He was third in 2009, third in 2010, 64th in 2011, first in 2012 and eighth in 2013.
McIlroy has never missed the cut in this event in his five attempts. McIlroy has played in a total of 24 major championships in his career and has only missed the cut in four of them. His last missed cut came in the 2013 British Open, which he went on to win the next year.
