MEMPHIS, TN (ATSConsultants) – The 2015 FedEx St. Jude Classic tees off later today. Here are some golfers we think you should wager on this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Dustin Johnson is the favorite to win this weekend, as he has 11/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Phil Mickelson (12/1), Billy Horschel (14/1) and Ryan Palmer (14/1). The FedEx St. Jude Classic takes place today-Sunday from TPC Southwind.
Dustin Johnson is a former winner of this tournament and he already owns a win in 2015, so we feel like he is a strong play this weekend. He has climbed up to 7th in the world rankings and is the strongest golfer in this field, in our opinion. We like his 11/2 odds.
Harris English has 20/1 odds to win this weekend. He was the 2013 winner of this tournament. Though he is on a bit of a slump, failing to crack the top 10 in seven straight events, we think returning to a course he has won at will break his slump. He is still a strong play this weekend.
Robert Allenby is a big long shot at 200/1. There hasn’t been much positive going with Allenby in some time, but he is a veteran of the PGA Tour and this event. Golf can present some surprising winners from week-to-week and we have a hunch that Allenby will be a surprise contender on Sunday.
