Todd wins first PGA event
IRVING, TX (TheSpread) – Brendan Todd picked up his first PGA Tour victory on Sunday, winning the Byron Nelson Championship.
Todd posted a 4-under 66 on Sunday, going bogey-free for his round, to finish the tournament at -14 overall. Todd won the event by two shots over Mike Weir, who finished at -12 overall after shooting a 67 on Sunday.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Todd had 66/1 odds to win this weekend’s event, which means a $100 wager on him to prevail will pay out an additional $6,600.
Charles Howell III and Marc Leishman each finished at -10 overall. Howell posted a 67 on Sunday while Leishman shot a 68. Louis Oosthuizen was in the mix entering Sunday, but shot a 4-over 74 on Sunday to finish at -6 for the tournament and in a tie for 11th.
