Kuchar wins THE PLAYERS
PONTA VEDRA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Matt Kuchar picked up his first win since 2010 on Sunday, as he won the 2012 PLAYERS Championship by two shots.
Kuchar posted a 2-under 70 in the final round to finish at -13 for the tournament. That put him two shots ahead of a group of four golfers.
According to oddsmakers, Kuchar had odds of 55/1 odds to win the tournament, which means a wager of $100 on Kuchar to win pays out an additional $5,500.
Among the group that finish at -11 overall was Rickie Fowler, who was coming off his first tour win last week. Fowler shot a 2-under 70 on Sunday. Martin Laird posted a 5-under 67 on Sunday to get into the group that finished in second place.
